Additionally, the company is involved in power generation. Distribution is carried out through a network of dealers and retailers, and the company also exports its products to Nepal and Bhutan. Formerly known as Cement Manufacturing Company Limited, it changed its name to Star Cement Limited in June 2016. Established in 2001, the company is headquartered in Kolkata, India, and is a subsidiary of Century Plyboards (India) Limited.
