In January 1995, SSPL issued rights shares at a premium of Rs 20, amounting to Rs 10.45 crore, to support its expansion plans and fulfill its working capital needs. As part of this expansion, it established manufacturing facilities in Bhainsa, Madhya Pradesh, focusing on the production of soya oil, de-oiled cakes, and soya flour.
The company also engages in exporting soyabean meal/extractions, with exports amounting to Rs 5.75 crore in 1994-95. Additionally, in February 1992, SSPL initiated an expansion project to install a 500-tonnes-per-day solvent extraction plant and a 40-tonnes-per-day soya flour plant at its existing complex in Madhya Pradesh.
