In 1987, Unit II was inaugurated in Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh, contributing to an expansion in production capacity. The subsequent merger further strengthened the company's brand portfolio, including LIMCAL and DICAL.
During 1996, a rights issue was extended to existing shareholders along with the issuance of detachable and tradable warrants. Over the years, there have been expansions in the installed capacity of calcium carbonate. For instance, in 1995-96, the capacity increased by 3000 mtpa, followed by an expansion from 21600 to 27600 mtpa in 1996-97. Additionally, in 1997-98, the amalgamation with Thirani Chemicals Limited resulted in a further increase in capacity, reaching a total of 62500 MTPA, marking an increment of 7100 MTPA.
