In April 1974, the company initiated a ten-year technical collaboration with Ruti Machinery Works, Switzerland, to produce high-speed C type automatic looms. Commercial production commenced in December 1977. Subsequently, in 1987-88, the company began manufacturing air jet weaving machines in partnership with Sulzer, Switzerland, and also ventured into rapier conversion. Additionally, a collaboration with Terrot Stickmaschinen, Germany, was formed to produce high-speed circular knitting machines.
In 1994-95, the company developed a prototype high-speed rapier weaving machine with a four-color selector, undergoing field trials. By 1995-96, CNC machines were installed to enhance product quality.
Future plans include implementing ISO 9001 quality standards and introducing Total Quality Management (TQM) for global acceptance of products. Despite a significant erosion in net worth, prompting filing with the BIFR in 1998, the company exported seven Circular Knitting Machines valued at Rs. 95.335 lakhs during 1999-2000.
Further initiatives include the introduction of new models of Shuttleless Looms and Circular Knitting Machines. The Knitting Machinery Division transitioned into a 100% EOU from August 2002. With the net worth turning positive as of March 31, 2010, the company was discharged from the BIFR's oversight on July 14, 2010, following the implementation of a sanctioned scheme as of March 31, 2013.
