Kiri Dyes & Chemicals Limited (KDCL) was established in May 1998 under the name 'Kiri Dyes and Chemicals Private Limited' in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, under the leadership of its founders, Praveen A. Kiri and Manishkumar P. Kiri. The company specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of Dyes, Dyes Intermediates, and Basic Chemicals, particularly reactive dyes used in cotton fabrics such as garments, bed-sheets, and carpets. Its product line, consisting of over 120 dyestuffs, caters to various industries including textiles, leather, paint, and printing ink. KDCL operates four plants in Gujarat, India, known under different names: Kiri Dyes and Chemicals Limited (100% EOU UNIT), Survin Laboratory, Kiri Dyes and Chemicals Limited - Unit-II, and Parkin Industries - II. Since its inception, KDCL has ventured into international markets, exporting its products to the USA and Taiwan.

Acknowledgments for the company's exceptional export performance include awards from CHEMEXIL and the Gujarat Dyestuffs Manufactures Association. Over the years, KDCL has achieved significant milestones such as obtaining certifications like ISO 9001:2000 for quality management and being recognized as a Government Recognized Trading House. The company has also focused on environmental sustainability, evidenced by obtaining an Environmental Clearance Certificate and investing in advanced effluent treatment plants.

KDCL expanded its operations through strategic partnerships, including a Joint Venture with Well Prospering Limited, a subsidiary of Zhejiang Longsheng Group Co. Ltd. of China, to form Loosen Kiri Chemical Industries Ltd. In subsequent years, KDCL embarked on various expansion projects, including the acquisition of assets from DyStar and the commencement of commercial production for its backward integration plant. These initiatives were funded through means such as Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) and Qualified Institutional Placements (QIPs).

The company underwent a name change in 2011, rebranding as Kiri Industries Limited. Over the years, it continued to grow its equity share capital through the conversion of warrants and Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds (FCCBs), expanding its presence in the market.
