Established in December 1942, Kaycee Industries Ltd, headquartered in Mumbai, is a leading manufacturer of electrical products and solutions catering to various industries such as the power sector, panel builders, machine tool manufacturers, telecom, and renewables. The company produces rotary switches, micro switches, mechanical counters, water meters, and other electrical equipment. Kaycee holds the distinction of being the first Indian manufacturer of rotary switches, commencing production in 1942. Continuous research and development have led to enhancements in the quality and performance of its products over time. In June 1964, the government of Pakistan took over its unit in Pakistan. In 2001-02, management changed hands to M/s CMS Traffic Systems Limited and M/s Jess Prasad Engineering and Metallurgical Services Pvt. Ltd. The company expanded its operations by establishing a manufacturing unit in Ambernath during 2012-13. In the fiscal year 2019-20, M/s. Salzer Electronics Limited (SEL) acquired a controlling equity stake of 74.91% from the previous promoters, making Kaycee Industries Ltd a subsidiary of SEL, in compliance with SEBI (Substantial Acquisition and Takeover) Regulations 2011.
