In its real estate endeavors, the company has successfully completed numerous prestigious residential and commercial complexes. Notably, the commercial project 'Kamanwala Chambers' in Mahim was finalized in 1995. As part of its diversification strategy, the company has decided to merge with Shree Saibaba Castings Pvt Ltd, which operates a mini steel plant in Nasik, and also intends to venture into financing shipbreaking activities.
Further expanding its construction portfolio, the company initiated another project in Andheri, Mumbai, comprising both commercial and residential structures.
During the early 1980s, the promoters of KHCL recognized a significant housing shortage in Mumbai and observed unethical practices prevalent in the construction sector, leading to unfair deals for consumers. In response, the company took the initiative to construct affordable housing options and offer financing at nominal rates. Projects like Attar Apartments and Kamanwala Nagar in Virar were developed, alongside the acquisition, repair, and renovation of old buildings and tenements. These properties were then sold to tenants at reasonable rates, proving both economically viable and profitable for the company. Notable examples include the conversion of Advani Chambers into Kamanwala Chambers in 1985 and the ongoing renovation and conversion of Vallabh Terrace in Opera House, Mumbai.
Over time, the company has transitioned from low-cost housing projects to undertaking prestigious developments in prime locations, with larger areas earmarked for development. To signify its renewed focus on construction as its core activity, the company has officially changed its name to Kamanwala Housing Construction Limited.
