For the automotive sector, IPCL manufactures transmission parts, pre-combustion chambers, clutch components, turbocharger parts, and exhaust gas recirculation coolers. In the valve industry, it supplies butterfly valve discs, globe valve discs, valve bodies, and gate valve wedges. Additionally, the company produces electrical switch gears, high-conductivity castings, radar and navigational instrument parts for aerospace applications, and various general engineering components such as steam turbine blades, air-conditioning parts, agricultural machinery parts, printing machinery parts, and textile machinery parts.
IPCL's journey to technological leadership began with collaborations in 1975 with Arwood International, USA, followed by a Technical Collaboration Agreement with M/s. Furstlich Hohenzollernsche Huttenverwaltung (Zollern Group), Germany in 1983, and a Technical License Agreement with M/s. Associated Foundries Engineering Co. Ltd., Japan in 1987. Through these partnerships and further enhanced by in-house Research & Development, IPCL has become a technology leader in India. It specializes in producing intricate investment castings in various material specifications with piece weights up to 150 Kgs. The company has also acquired additional technologies for manufacturing its own Ceramic cores and Ceramic molds.
With a fully equipped, in-house CNC machine shop and dedicated machining vendors, IPCL can deliver large volumes of fully machined components ready for use, particularly serving the automotive industry. In August 2010, the company expanded its operations by incorporating a subsidiary, I&PCL Vacuum Cast Ltd.
