GRIL, a prominent Indian manufacturing firm established in Gujarat near major seaports in 1984, specializes in a diverse array of products including PE tarpaulin, plastic sheeting, ground sheeting, geomembrane, tents, shelters, pond lining, canal lining, fumigation covers, HDPE woven bags, PP woven bags, vermi beds, and PP ropes. The company operates with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and stringent quality measures to ensure a conducive working environment. Utilizing premium-grade raw materials sourced from reputable vendors, the production process is overseen by skilled professionals using cutting-edge machinery. Stringent quality checks are conducted at various stages of production. Due to the absence of in-house lamination facilities, the company outsources lamination services on a contractual basis. With a production capacity of 792 TPA for manufacturing laminated sheets and tarpaulin, a lamination plant was established in March 1993. In the fiscal year 1992-93, GRIL executed an expansion and diversification initiative, increasing the capacity of HDPE woven sacks from 360 TPA to 1008 TPA, along with the addition of a new capacity of 792 TPA for manufacturing laminated sheets and tarpaulin, partially financed through an equity issue worth Rs 4.16 crore. Furthermore, the company augmented its tarpaulin production capacity by 3177 TPA and expanded its product portfolio to include PP ropes with an installed capacity of 255 TPA, involving an investment of Rs 16.14 crore. To fund this project, GRIL launched a public issue of equity shares in September 1994.
