Over the following years, GSPL continued to expand its network, adding pipelines such as Paguthan-Baroda, Baroda-Ahmedabad-Kalol, GACL-Petronet, Mora-Sajod, and Kalol-Santej pipelines. In 2005-06, it secured EPC contracts for additional pipelines, including Anand-Rajkot, Kalol-Himmatnagar, Kalol-Mehasana, and Anklav-Dhuvaran pipelines, all of which were commissioned the following year.
In 2008-2009, GSPL entered into a 15-year agreement with RIL for gas transportation from Bharuch to Jamnagar. Subsequently, in 2011, it led a consortium awarded contracts for developing three cross-country Natural Gas Transmission Pipelines: Mallavaram-Bhilwara (1585 km), Mehsana-Bhatinda (1670 km), and Bhatinda-Jammu-Srinagar (740 km).
In 2013, GSPL secured a gas re-gasification capacity agreement with PLL at the Dahej terminal for 20 years, starting from 2016. Additionally, in 2015, it gained authorization to develop the CGD Network in Amritsar district over a 2648 square km area. By 2022-23, the company had connected 12 customer locations across various districts.
GSPL operates primarily in City Gas Distribution, Transmission of Natural Gas, and Electricity Generation segments. The City Gas Distribution segment contributed approximately 92% of its FY 2023 revenue, followed by gas transportation at around 7%.
The company serves a diverse customer base across industries such as refineries, steel plants, power plants, textile companies, chemical companies, fertiliser plants, city gas distribution companies, petrochemical plants, and glass industries.
GSPL's subsidiaries include Gujarat Gas Limited, GSPL India Gasnet Limited, and GSPL India Transco Limited, each dedicated to specific pipeline development projects.
Regarding corporate actions, GSPL has not undertaken any major initiatives recently. However, in March 2018, it acquired additional shares of Gujarat Gas Ltd., thereby gaining a majority stake in the company and making it a subsidiary.
