The Generating division is responsible for producing and selling power to various electricity boards. With a renewable energy capacity of 15 MW, this division also has several hydroelectric projects in different stages of development, totaling 270 MW. Notably, it owns and operates the Harangi hydro-electric power plants, with capacities of 9 MW and 6 MW, located in the Kodagu district. Additionally, it has two wind projects, each with a capacity of 1.5 MW, situated in the cities of Hassan and Chitradurga in Karnataka. Furthermore, the division manages the Ullunkal hydroelectric power project (7 MW) and the Karikayam hydroelectric power project (15 MW) in the state of Kerala. It is also actively involved in executing hydroelectric projects in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
The Contract division focuses on developing energy and infrastructure projects for other developers. It offers a range of services, including engineering, consultancy, and project management for hydroelectric power plants. Additionally, it provides engineering, procurement, and construction services, as well as third-party power plant operations and maintenance services. The division also offers rehabilitation, renovation, modernization, and uprating consultancy and services for aging hydro power plants. Moreover, it is engaged in cogeneration, which involves the combined generation of heat and power from a single fuel source, such as bagasse.
