Disa India Ltd., previously known as George Fisher Disa and now a part of the Copenhagen-based Disa A/S Group, specializes in manufacturing foundry machinery such as molding plants, sand plants, and shot blasting machines. Renowned for its cutting-edge technology in foundry and surface preparation processes, the company supplies comprehensive foundry systems to clients in New Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, and Bangalore. It operates two manufacturing plants in Tumkur and Hosakote, Bangalore, Karnataka. Initially established as BMD Industries on May 25, 1984, with technical and financial support from BMD, Germany; Vulcan Laval, Germany; and KSIIDC, the company underwent significant changes when Disa A/S acquired George Fisher's 50% stake in the former joint venture, making Disa A/S the sole owner in 2000. Consequently, the Indian operations were integrated into Disa A/S, leading to the renaming of the company as Disa India Ltd. Over the years, Disa India Ltd. has diversified its offerings, including the manufacture of control panels at its Hoskote facility. Notable milestones include the commissioning of the DISAFLEX80 in 2010, expansion into automatic mold handling systems for the new range of DISAMATCH machines, the introduction of the first Made in India DISAMATIC Vertical Molding Machine (DISA 030) at IFEX in February 2011, and the launch of Match 2024 (Horizontal Matchplate Molding Machine) in February 2012. Additionally, the company ventured into non-foundry markets with its Wheelabrator range and expanded its product line with the New DISA 20FP Core Machine and Manipulator Type DS-1 Machine, launched in January 2013. In 2016, Disa India Ltd. established Bhadra Castalloys Private Limited as a wholly-owned subsidiary, which acquired Sri Rajarajeswari Foundry, engaged in manufacturing high alloy steel castings. Further advancements include the introduction of the C3-150 DISAMATIC Machine with a speed of 150 molds per hour and the successful execution of the Shot Blasting Project for JCB, Jaipur, incorporating state-of-the-art technologies to become the largest shot blasting solution provider.
