The company has initiated the marketing and sale of tea packets (Chhotelal) in Kolkata through a KIOSK and is considering launching an e-commerce website. Furthermore, it expanded its tea production facilities in North Bank and acquired two companies in Malawi, namely Makandi Tea & Coffee Estates Limited and Kawalazi Estate Company Limited, through its subsidiary Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea Pte Ltd., marking its entry into international plantations.
With these acquisitions, Dhunseri Tea's production capacity has grown to 22 million kgs per annum. The company adheres to quality standards such as ISO 22000-2005 Food and Safety standards, Trustea, Fairtrade, USFDA, Rainforest Alliance, HACCP, PPC, and FSSAI certifications. Additionally, it has contributed to government COVID relief funds and initiated vaccination drives for employees and their families.
The Malawi acquisitions have broadened the company's product offerings and international presence, expanding its geographic footprint. Dhunseri Tea emphasizes the importance of implementing improved agricultural practices to increase crop yields, essential for the industry's growth and sustainability.
