Blue Chiptex Industries Ltd established a texturizing unit in Silvassa and a facility for manufacturing fuel briquettes sourced from agricultural, industrial, and other waste materials in Bhiwandi, Thane district. To fund these projects, the company launched a public offering in February 1986. Operations at the texturizing plant commenced in October 1986, while the Solid Fuel Briquetting Plant in Bhiwandi started commercial activities in January 1987. The company's texturized and twisted yarns are marketed under the brand name Blue Chip, while its briquettes are sold under the brand Blue Burn.
In conjunction with its commercial production in the same year, the company expanded the capacity of its texturized and twisted yarns. Additionally, Blue Chiptex Industries Ltd invested in a Wind Power Generation Unit, a 225 KW Wind Electric Generator, in Udumalpet Taluka, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu, with an investment of Rs. 1.05 Crore. This unit commenced electricity generation activities on March 22, 2007.
