The company operates oil refineries in Mumbai, Bina, and Kochi, contributing to the production of various petroleum products.

Apart from its downstream operations, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited also offers industrial fuel products such as white oil, black oil, bitumen, sulphur, petcoke, propylene, petchem, and solvents. It provides bunkering facilities and has a significant presence in the natural gas business. The company has participating interests in eighteen blocks, including nine in India and nine in other countries. It is also involved in the import and export of petroleum products.
