Its primary focus lies in manufacturing and exporting handicrafts such as Glass Beads, Necklaces, among others. BBL holds the distinction of being India's largest manufacturer of Glass Beads, Fashion Jewellery, and Accessories. The company also offers a diverse range of beads including Clay, Brass, Aluminium, Copper, and more. Additionally, it trades in various handicraft products globally. Founded by Ajit Kumar Gupta and Raj Kumar Gupta, BBL initially began operations in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, specializing in glass beads and imitation jewellery. Over the years, it expanded its portfolio to include woollen products, handicrafts, silk fabrics, fashion accessories, and garments. With modernized computer facilities and a state-of-the-art computer-aided designing system, BBL has evolved into India's premier jewellery and bead company. Catering to leading international chains like Michaels and Walmart, BBL supplies high-quality jewellery products worldwide. In 1995, the company underwent a significant expansion financed through a public issue, which included facilities for glass beads, imitation jewellery, and woollen products, as well as manufacturing capabilities for gold and silver studded jewellery.
