By Hemant Kumar Nat Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], On the occasion of International Museum Day, a transport gallery ranging from ancient transport systems to modern transport facilities was inaugurated at the Birla Museum of Industry and Technology, Kolkata on Saturday, which included ancient chariots. And boats, an 18th century Douglas motor cycle from Kolkata, an NSU Fox motor cycle, a 1926 Rolls Royce Phantom-1 car and a 1925 Fiat Tipo 10 car are displayed in the newly inaugurated Transport Gallery.

Subhabrata Chaudhary, director of Birla Industrial and Technological Museum, told ANI that the transport museum showcases historical components as well as technological changes. “Today is International Museum Day and we are celebrating International Museo Expo, 2024 and as part of it, the Transport Gallery was inaugurated by Prof. Shekhar Mande. It is a very traditional transport museum which is more than 2200 feet high.
