New Delhi: Representatives of 18 political parties from 10 countries held talks with BJP president JP Nadda here on Wednesday as they arrived in India on the invitation of the ruling party to experience the Lok Sabha elections firsthand.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also participated in the conversation with Nadda.

After the meeting, the BJP chief said on Twitter, "I had a fascinating discussion on BJP's election campaign strategies and the overall electoral process with representatives of eighteen political parties from ten countries at the BJP headquarters."

Noting that the meeting was a part of the "Know the BJP" initiative, he said the initiative was not just about sharing the party's achievements but also inspiring others by showcasing the "contributions and sacrifices" made for nation building. It is also about inspiring.

Liberal Party of Australia, Communist Party of Vietnam, Awami League of Bangladesh, Likud Party of Israel, National Resistance Movement of Uganda, Chama Cha Mapinduzi of Tanzania and United Russia Party of Russia are among the political parties whose representatives are visiting India. Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and United National Party from Sri Lanka; the Militant Socialist Movement, the Mauritian Labor Party, the Mauritian Militant Movement and the Mauritian Social Democrats, a party from Mauritius; And Nepali Congress, Janma Party, Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist), Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) and Rashtriya Swatantra Party of Nepal are among the other parties invited by the BJP.
