New Delhi [India], Telugu Desam Party leader Ram Mohan Naidu on Thursday officially took charge as Civil Aviation Minister.

Naidu was warmly welcomed by party leaders with bouquets and shawls.

He took charge along with his Minister of State (MoS), Muralidhar Mohol.

BJP's Jyotiraditya Scindia was the previous aviation minister.

At 36, the three-time Lok Sabha MP from Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh is the youngest minister in the Modi 3.0 cabinet.Speaking to ANI on reducing air fares, the Civil Aviation Minister said, "This is an important issue. My whole intention is to ensure that air travel is accessible to the common man. To bring down the prices to make it a reality. will be." Be economical. Apart from this, Naidu Kinjarapu said that as the youngest member of the cabinet, he has been given responsibility and he has a lot to prove.

“We want India to become a leader in the development of aviation infrastructure. Under the leadership of PM Modi, we will give top priority to civil aviation and give a big push. Being the youngest member of the Cabinet, I have been given this responsibility, And I have a big step up. There's a lot to prove here," he said.In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Naidu defeated YSRCP's Tilak Perada by a margin of 3,27,901 votes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the division of departments on Monday.

In an exclusive interview with ANI on Tuesday, Naidu said, "Prime Minister Modi has given me a big responsibility. I want to thank Prime Minister Modi for this. I am very excited to fulfill this responsibility. After taking over, I will take charge.“Review meeting and future planning.”

Naidu stressed his commitment to improve the travel experience for all passengers regardless of their socio-economic background.

"Traveling by air is no longer just for the rich. Now people from all classes are flying, so I will try to ensure better and more comfortable travel for them," Naidu told ANI.

Ram Mohan Naidu played a key role in the strong electoral performance of the NDA in the 2024 Lok Sabha and Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.Naidu entered politics after the tragic demise of his father in an accident in 2012. He won the Srikakulam Lok Sabha seat in 2014. He retained this seat in the 2019 elections also.Ram Mohan Naidu is also the national general secretary of TDP.
