Addressing a public meeting in Gujarat's Banaskantha, PM Modi said: "It is a challenge to Shahzada, Congress and their entire ecosystem to declare that they will not give reservation on the basis of religion nor distort the Constitution. do."

He also said that the Indian group would never promise this as their intentions were not clear.

The Prime Minister further said that BJP will always protect and preserve the basic nature of the Constitution given by BR Ambedkar.

He further accused the India Bloc and its ecosystem of trying to take away the rights of SC, ST and tribal people by bringing minorities - especially Muslims, under the OBC category.

PM Modi said in a public rally, "They have done this in Andhra Pradesh first and now they are trying to do the same in Karnataka. They will have to give in writing that they will not give reservation on the basis of religion."

In particular, the Congress manifesto has been heavily criticized by the BJP because of its promise of a constitutional amendment to increase the 50 per cent limit of reservation for SCs, STs and OBCs.

Furthermore, the party's advocacy for a caste-based census and redistribution accordingly has invited the ire of various political sections.
