Bibhav Kumar was accused of misbehaving and beating Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) M Swati Maliwal in the drawing room of Delhi CM residence. Maliwal said in her FI that while she was waiting to meet the Chief Minister on May 13, he barged into the room, attacked her and beat her black and blue.

Bibhav Kumar, a longtime aide of Arvind Kejriwal, has been taken into custody for alleged misconduct and misbehavior and will be interrogated.

Meanwhile, Bibhav has also lodged a complaint at the Civil Lines police station and said that he is ready to investigate the incident.

While the Maliwal episode has escalated the problems of the already beleaguered AA leadership, the emergence of new CCTV footage has brought a new twist to the case.

Delhi Police can also check the CCTV cameras of CM residence. The crime scene was also recreated at the CM residence on Friday after the FIR was lodged by the former DCW chief.

Meanwhile, BJP has criticized Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP leadership for attacking the woman MP inside the CM House, terming the incident as 'disgraceful'.

In this, AAP was also accused of protecting Kejriwal's personal secretary despite there being sufficient evidence against him.
