New Delhi, BJP President J.P. Nadda on Monday attacked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the alleged attack on Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal at the Chief Minister's residence and alleged that his silence for four days clearly reflected his "double character and Reflects "double standards".

Nadda held a road show in favor of BJP candidate Bansuri Swaraj in the New Delhi constituency.

During the rally, Nadda said that the atmosphere of the entire country and Delhi is in favor of blessing Modi.

"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP will get more than 37 seats and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will get more than 40 seats. There is a one-sided atmosphere and BJP is going to win all the seven seats in Delhi.,

"You see the enthusiasm. This constituency of New Delhi was once your stronghold and today see how everyone is eager to bless Modi and Bansuri Swaraj to win the elections," Nadda said.

He further claimed that the number of people voting for BJP is more than 5 percent.

He said, “The foundation and leaders of this party (AAP) are rooted in lies from the very beginning. He has lied at every opportunity.

He said, “This incident (attack on Maliwal) somehow came to light, so it came to our attention.We don't know how many similar incidents have happened to others."

Nadda reminded that the Chief Secretary of Delhi Government was attacked at Kejriwal's official residence.

"This is his working style. Kejriwal's silence for four days and moving the microphone from one side to the other clearly shows his double character and double standards," Nadda said.

The BJP president alleged that Kejriwal has been exposed before the people of Delhi and the country and nothing can be expected from him. He said that it is necessary to make them sit at home.

Kejriwal was addressing a press conference along with Samajwad Party leader Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow on May 16, where the Delhi Chief Minister was asked about the incident.He avoided the question and it was answered by Yadav and AAP MP Sanja Singh.

In February 2018, then Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash had alleged that he was attacked by AAP MLAs in the presence of Chief Minister and then Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia at Kejriwal's residence.
