New Delhi, IndiGo has received a tax demand following disallowance of input tax credit availed by the company in 2018-19.

In a regulatory filing on Wednesday, the company said it has received a "demand draft of Rs 31,240 for F 2018-19, which includes tax of Rs 21,240 and penalty of Rs 10,000."

This demand has been issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Tax Department, Hyderabad.

"The tax officer denied input tax credit of Rs 21,240 availed by the company and raised the demand," the filing said.

The company also said there will be no impact on financial, operational or other activities due to the demand.
