Ranchi, Two empty chairs - one each for jailed Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren - were placed on the stage when the Bharat Bloc organized a mega rally in Ranchi.

The 'Ulgulan Nyay Maharally' was mainly organized by the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and a large number of its workers wore Soren masks.

Soren was arrested by the ED on the night of January 31 in a money laundering case related to an alleged land fraud. The same central agency had also arrested Kejriwal on March 21 in a case related to the liquor policy scam.

Though chairs were kept vacant for the JMM working president and AAP supremo, their wives Kalpana Soren and Sunita Kejriwal were sitting on the stage. She is clearly ready for a bigger political role after her spouse's arrest.

The crowd raised slogans like "Jail ka taala tootega, Hemant Soren chhootega" (Jail lock will break, Hemant Soren will be freed) and "Jharkhand jhukega nahi" (Jharkhand will not bow down).

Braving the scorching heat even as the temperature in the Jharkhand capital hovered around 40 degrees Celsius, activists gathered for the 'Ulgulan Nyaya Maharally'.

Apart from Kalpana and Sunita, JMM supremo Shibu Soren, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah, RJD leader and former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and others showed up at the rally. Opposition group.

A total of 28 political parties are participating in the rally being held at Prabhat Tara Maidan.

In view of the rally, security arrangements have been increased with the deployment of additional forces in the capital.

The word 'Ulugulan', meaning revolution, was coined during Birsa Munda's fight against the British for the rights of the tribals.
