Satna (MP), Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday claimed that if the "Modi-Shah government" comes back to power, democracy will end in the country.
Addressing a public meeting in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, Kharge targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and further claimed that they will also abolish the Constitution made by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.
"If you want to keep alive the Constitution, the right to vote of women laborers and farmers, then vote for the Congress and its 'panja' (hand sign)," Kharge said at the gathering.
Addressing a public meeting in Satna in support of Congress candidate Siddharth Kushwaha, Kharge claimed, "If Modi-Shah government comes to power, democracy will end."
Kharge also criticized PM Modi and Union Minister Shah for inducting into the BJP those people who were "corrupt" as long as they were in other parties.
The Congress leader claimed that Shah seemed to have "a big laundry with washing machines to clean corrupt people before they join the BJP".
Lok Sabha elections will be held in Satna on 26 April.
