New Delhi: An elderly couple died and their 45-year-old son was injured after the roof of their house collapsed in Prem Nagar area of Rohini, Delhi. Fire service officials gave this information on Wednesday.
Fire officials received information about the roof collapse at around 3 am.
"We immediately sent three fire engines and a rescue team to the spot. Three people were pulled out of the debris and taken to a nearby hospital," a Delhi Fire Service official said.
Doctors declared Sukhran, 85, and his 75-year-old wife Gayatri Devi dead, while their son Vinod sustained injuries, officials said.
He said, "Vinod is being treated at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital. We have informed the local police."
