NEW DELHI: New Delhi Chief Minister Atishi will retain all the 13 portfolios, including education, revenue, finance, power and PWD, that she held in the previous Arvind Kejriwal-led government in the national capital.
Officials said on Saturday that the Chief Minister's proposal for distribution of work among cabinet ministers has been approved by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.
Atishi's predecessor Kejriwal did not have any department.
Atishi, the eighth Chief Minister of Delhi, has retained four ministers of the previous government - Saurabh Bhardwaj, Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot and Imran Hussain. Mukesh Ahlawat, who became MLA from Sultanpur Majra for the first time, is the new member in his cabinet.
Bhardwaj will retain his previous portfolios and will also hold the charge of social welfare and cooperative departments, which were earlier held by Raj Kumar Anand, who resigned in April. His other portfolios include health, urban development, irrigation and tourism.
Bhardwaj will have eight portfolios, the highest after a chief minister.
Ahlawat has been given the charge of Labour, Gurdwara Elections, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare and Land and Building departments.
Rai has retained the Development, General Administration Department, Environment and Forest portfolios which he also held in the Kejriwal government.
Gehlot has also been given his previous portfolios - Transport, Home, Administrative Reforms, Women and Child Development.
Hussain will continue to hold the Food and Supplies and Election departments.
