A couple from Uran in Thane, Navi Mumbai have been booked for defrauding a farmer of Rs 15 lakh in the name of providing him a job in a leading PSU. Police gave this information on Saturday.
Uran Police is investigating after registering an FIR against Frida on the complaint of the victim, a resident of Khed, Pune.
The complainant said that the couple took Rs 15.19 lakh from him between 2022 and March 2024 on the pretext of getting him a job in a PSU under the Union Petroleum Ministry.
When the victim realized that he had been cheated he contacted the police.
A police officer said no arrests have been made so far and further investigation is underway.
