New Delhi [India], Yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Patanjali Ayurveda Managing Director Acharya Balkrishna reached the Supreme Court on Wednesday to attend the hearing related to the misleading advertisements of Patanjali Ayurved. Yesterday, Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court. And argued. I apologized unconditionally regarding the matter and said that I will uphold the glory of law and justice. In an affidavit filed before the apex court, Ramdev said, "I apologize for the above mentioned breach of statement. I undertake to always uphold the glory of law and justice." Glory of law and justice.Ramdev informed the apex court that he regretted the mistake and wanted to assure that it would not be repeated in future. He also ensured that the statement would be followed in letter and spirit. Ramdev tendered an unconditional apology for the press conference held on November 22 last year and Acharya Balkrishna said he pledged to ensure that such derogatory acts would not be repeated in future. Advertisements will not be issued and he will be more cautious going forward. In the previous hearing, the Supreme Court had asked yoga guru Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna to file fresh affidavits within a week in the case related to misleading advertisements by Patanjali Ayurveda. A bench of Justices Hima Kohli and Ahsanuddin Amanullah listed the matter for further hearing. Hearing on April 10 and Ramdev and Balakrishnan directed to appear. Earlier, Ramdev and Acharya Balakrishnan had tendered an unconditional apology before the Supreme Court for violating the apex court's order for misleading advertisements of Patanjali's medicinal products. However, the court had expressed strong objection to the apology.Both of them said that they have violated the undertaking given to the apex court so they are taking it seriously. The court was hearing a plea by the Indian Medical Association seeking framing of guidelines to prohibit false and misleading advertisements in relation to allopathy and modern medicine. IMA, in its plea, had sought passing of an order directing the Center and others to take immediate strict and prompt action. Action will be taken as per law for violation of the provisions of the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954, Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945 and Consumer Protection Act, 2019 by repeated acts of omission and commission. The defendant Patanjali Ayurved Limited made illegal and prohibited claims by publishing advertisements across the country.
