Kota (Rajasthan), Social media craze turned fatal for a 22-year-old man who was shot in the chest by a bullet which accidentally went off on Wednesday when he was making a reel with his friend, police said.
The man was identified as Yashwant Nagar of Jhalawar district who was pursuing graduation in humanities and was living in Kota.
Police said the incident took place around 3 pm when Nagar Mahavir was making a video with a country-made pistol at a tea shop near Maharishi Gautam Bhawan in Naga Extension.
DSP Manish Sharma said he was immediately taken to New Medical College Hospital, where he died.
He said that it is being investigated who fired the shot, it seems that Nagar was making a reel when the firing took place.
The DSP said that it is also being investigated how the deceased got the gun.
He said that Nagar's body was sent for postmortem after the arrival of his family members.
