The revered siddhpeeth of Vindhyavasni Beejasan devi, an incarnation of the Hindu goddess Durga, is situated atop an 800-foot high hillrock in the village of Salkanpur near Rehti village, approximately 70 km from Bhopal. The local community and devotees hold great reverence for the deity, Ma Durga Beejasan. Every day, numerous individuals make the arduous climb of over 1000 steps to visit this sacred site. Additionally, a magnificent fair takes place in Salkanpur during the Navratris festival each year. Although the temple is ancient, it has recently undergone renovation under the auspices of the Salkanpur Trust, further enhancing its splendor. The followers of Ma Durga Beejasan continue to hold her in high esteem.
